Chicken Noodle Soup, The Ultimate Comfort Food
So, how did I come up with the idea of creating a Chicken Noodle Soup Kolache Recipe? Well, I believe that certain foods can really evoke strong memories. For me, this is certainly true with Chicken Noodle Soup. When I find myself feeling a little homesick or feeling a little under the weather, I know I can always turn to a hot bowl of soup. A savory, steaming bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup never fails to make me feel a little bit better.
Also, as the weather turns colder, I feel like there are certain foods that seem to counter the chill in just the right way. Again, Chicken Noodle Soup to the rescue.
Like many busy moms with a family, my life never really seems to slow down. I am always looking for help and shortcuts anywhere I can get it. When the weather gets colder, I still need my comfort foods but am always looking for an easier way to make them. On my last trip to Walmart, I picked up a can of Progresso Traditional Chicken Noodle Soup. I love having this on hand for when I need a little bit of a pick me up. Progresso soups are made with quality ingredients and no antibiotics making they easy to cook with. I am always left full and satisfied.
Fun with Traditional Czech Kolaches
I love finding fun and unique ways to incorporate classic dishes into meals that my family will enjoy. Nothing goes better with Chicken Noodle Soup than some great bread. When thinking about this I thought it just might be possible to make a traditional Czech Kolache recipe using Progresso Traditional Noodle Soup. I have a Ham and Cheese Kolache Recipe, Garlic Kolache Recipe, and a Meatball Bomb Kolache Recipe. I figured, a Chicken Noodle Soup Kolache recipe sounded delicious as well!
What Is a Kolache?
Traditionally, the Kolache originated in Central Europe and in Czechoslovakia. It was described as a pasty that holds some sort of fruit. As the traditional Czech Kolache has come to America, it has also been used to describe a pastry holding meat and other ingredients as well. They are the perfect food because you can get your meat, your dairy, your veggies and your bread all in one, small little ball. They are incredibly yummy as well!
So, without further ado, I give to you my Chicken Noodle Soup Kolache Recipe. Start the fire, grab a warm blanket and cozy up with your loved ones. With these tasty treats, you will be feeling better in no time!
