It seems like we get in a bit of a routine with our dinners. I think that we are so busy during the week that going to the same old dinners is a way to survive. I knew we needed to change up our dinners a bit. Besides salmon, we don’t usually eat a lot of seafood. I’m not sure why, maybe I am a little intimidated by it, but I thought our dinners could use a new protein so I turned to SeaPak for a little help. Shrimp reigns supreme as America’s #1 seafood and, when compared to other sources of protein (such as chicken), this versatile and affordable seafood offers a healthier and leaner alternative. Finding affordable dinners for my family is something important to me. I have learned that it is possible to serve your family healthy dinners that are affordable. My Simple Shrimp Scampi Pasta is exactly that. In fact this dish cost me under $15 and feeds 4 hungry people!
Whenever I cook shrimp I am immediately reminded about our trip a few years ago to Hilton Head. We went with my husband’s family and took turns making dinner every night. We decided to do shrimp. The local shrimp were amazing. While we don’t live on the coast, it is wonderful that we can still bring the taste of the coast to our table. SeaPak is highly regarded within the seafood industry for its adherence to the utmost quality standards and for its commitment to resource management and sustainability.
This simple pasta dish is made with just 6 ingredients. This is a great recipe for your high school student to learn how to make on their own. I know that this got me through college because you can make it so inexpensively, yet its full of flavor. You can even entertain with this pasta!
The star ingredient is the SeaPak Shrimp Scampi. SeaPak makes shrimp available at our fingertips. It goes from the box to our plate in under 10 minutes so its quick for those nights when you are running around crazy trying to make dinner. My pasta only takes 15 minutes to make from start to finish!
