Grilled pound cake with berries and whipped cream sitting on a white plate

Oh how I love grilling season.  We LOVE to grill out when it is nice outside and take advantage of our outdoor dining room.  We love grilling burgers, chicken, hotdogs and pizza.  What we needed were some good grilled desserts.  I am a huge fan of Sara Lee pound cake.  I have used it for many quick and easy dessert creations in my time.  I went with my old faithful friend again with my Grilled Pound Cake with Berries and Whipped Cream. Sliced pound cake Have you ever grilled a pound cake on your grill?  If you haven’t get ready to fall in love.  When you grill it, the outsides get a little crispy and delicious while the inside is warm and gooey and perfect! Grilled Pound Cake

You can find the Sara Lee Pound cake in the freezer section of your local store (I got mine on a weekly trip to Target).  I cut the cake in inch to and inch and half thick slices and put them on the grill still frozen.  In about 6 minutes I turned it and grilled the other side.  In about 10 minutes you will have perfectly grilled pound cake!
