The very first holiday we celebrated in our new house was the 4th of July. We moved into an established neighborhood that is very family friendly. Upon arrival, we received a welcome packet that included a list of neighborhood activities. The first one was the annual 4th of July parade where the kids decorated their bikes and followed a fire truck around the neighborhood tossing candy. My oldest was 4 and was riding with training wheels but we had an amazing time.
Since then my family looks forward to the 4th of July every year. Recently we have invited friends and family over to our house for a cookout and to light some fun fireworks when it starts to get dark. No matter how many people we have come over to celebrate, we can find everything we need with one trip to our local Sam’s Club.
Whenever we shop at Sam’s Club we always take a look in their meat department. I don’t think you can find a better deal on top-quality cuts of meat anywhere else. For summer cookouts, like the 4th of July, we usually stock up on hamburgers and steaks. Sam’s Club offers a wide variety of products in their meat and seafood department including, chicken, pork, beef and sustainably sourced seafood (like jumbo shrimp) that are perfect for outdoor grilling.
While you are at Sam’s Club be sure to check out their fruit and veggies as well. We love getting strawberries, watermelon and corn for our cookouts. We also take the opportunity to stock up on paper towels and plastic cups because every cookout needs these! The clear Member’s Mark 9 0z cups are perfect for cocktails and punch!
Remember when I said that Sam’s Club has everything you need for a party? Well, I wasn’t kidding. You can’t go wrong with a nice milkshake!
We used the new Member’s Mark Super Premium Vanilla Ice cream to create a chocolate and banana milkshake that was absolutely amazing, it will be the talk of the neighborhood! (Scroll to the bottom for printable recipe)
On our last trip to Sam’s Club, we picked up some amazing ribeye steaks for the grill.
These ribeyes were marbled and full of flavor! They would be perfect for a family 4th of July party! We paired them with some baked potatoes and broccoli and had a feast!
There is nothing better on a hot summer day then some milkshakes on the front porch, in your jammies, waiting for the fireworks to start!
Whatever your 4th of July plans are, Sam’s Club has you covered. Be sure to visit and stock up on everything you need to celebrate the holiday with your family and friends.
