The very first holiday we celebrated in our new house was the 4th of July. We moved into an established neighborhood that is very family friendly. Upon arrival, we received a welcome packet that included a list of neighborhood activities. The first one was the annual 4th of July parade where the kids decorated their bikes and followed a fire truck around the neighborhood tossing candy. My oldest was 4 and was riding with training wheels but we had an amazing time.
Since then my family looks forward to the 4th of July every year. Recently we have invited friends and family over to our house for a cookout and to light some fun fireworks when it starts to get dark.
Each year we make a fun dessert or beverage and I am so excited to share with you our chocolate banana milkshake recipe!
The secret ingredient is using Premium Vanilla Ice cream to create the base for the chocolate and banana milkshake. This recipe is absolutely amazing, it was the talk of the neighborhood! (Scroll to the bottom for printable recipe)
There is nothing better on a hot summer day then some milkshakes on the front porch, in your jammies, waiting for the fireworks to start!
Whatever your 4th of July plans are, Sam’s Club has you covered. Be sure to visit and stock up on everything you need to celebrate the holiday with your family and friends.
