Ingredients
14ozpackage Smoked Sausage
1tbspolive oil
1small sweet onion diced
2clovesminced garlic
2cupschicken stock
114 oz can diced tomatoes
½cupmilk
8ozfusilli pastadry
½teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper
2cupsshredded cheddar cheese
¼teaspoonred pepper flakes
green onions choppedgarnish
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large cooking pot over medium heat. Slice sausage into 1/2 inch rounds and add to pot.
Add onions and cook for 6 minutes and cook for about 3 minutes. Add garlic, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until onions start to be translucent.
Pour chicken stock, tomatoes, milk, and dry pasta into the pot. Allow mixture to come to a boil and then lower heat to your low setting. Cover with lid and cook for 15 minutes until pasta is cooked through.
Add your cheese in small amounts and stir until incorporated into the sauce.
