Asian Style Sesame Salad

An easy and simple Asian style salad recipe with ramen noodles, sesame dressing, seeded cucumbers and purple cabbage. It is a great healthy lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • For Salad
  • 3 cups shredded Romaine lettuce
  • 2 cups shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 scallion top green part sliced
  • 1 small cucumber seeded and sliced
  • 1 cup chow mein noodles
  • 1 /4 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • For Dressing
  • 2 Tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 Tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Add all salad ingredients (except seeds) into a medium-sized mixing bowl and toss.
  • In a small dish combine all dressing ingredients and whisk to combine.
  • Toss salad with salad dressing and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • serve and enjoy!
