Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs

Instant Pot hard boiled eggs are the best and easiest way to make easy peel eggs. Once you see how simple this method is and how easy it is to peel your eggs, you will never make them another way. This is a great recipe to make if you are a beginner to cooking with a pressure cooker.

Equipment

  • Pressure Cooker

Ingredients

  • 12 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • Ice Bath Large enough for all eggs to fit inside

Instructions

  • Add water to the pressure cooker pot.
  • Add trivet to the bottom of the pot. You can skip this step if you are using a steaming basket.
  • Place eggs on top of the trivet ensuring that the eggs are not touching the sides of the pot.
  • Seal the lid and turn the valve to sealing.
  • Turn Instant Pot on manual, high pressure for 5 minutes.
  • When the cooking process is over allow to naturally release for 5 minutes before opening the valve and releasing the remaining steam.
  • Place eggs in egg bath for 5 minutes and enjoy!

Notes

Add 1 1/2 cups of water to the pot if you are using an 8 quart pressure cooker.
Cooking time doesn't include the time it takes for the pressure cooker to come to pressure.
