Being an entrepreneur is hard work. I have been blogging and creating content here on A Mom’s Impression for over 11 years now and growing my business is always at the forefront of my mind. Website traffic has always been the goal, and finding ways to promote my business has been a challenge. As an entrepreneur I am constantly finding ways that I can grow and learn. These past couple of weeks I have been reading a new book by Russell Brunson, Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers. Russell Brunson is the founder and CEO of the $100M software company ClickFunnels. He is also a best-selling author of several books for entrepreneurs. His company ClickFunnels, became the fastest-growing non-venture backed software company in the world. This is a person I need to take advice from!
Traffic Secrets showcases that the biggest problem that a lot of entrepreneurs face isn’t actually creating a product or service, its getting customers that the product or service actually exists. Russell Brunson reveals the classic and foundational direct marketing techniques that he has used and that others have successfully used that will allow you to be at the front of new trends and see opportunities that are invisible to everyone else. He gives you the blueprint to master traffic strategies in order to bring your dream customers to your product.
I am currently participating in a 30 day challenge to learn key strategies to increase my site traffic. I am about half way through and I have already learned a lot about my dream customer. So far I have made it through Section 1: Your Dream Customer where I have learned how to figure out who my dream customer is, where they are hiding, and some ways on how to hook them into my content.
Lets be honest, we don’t create a website and just wait for people to come find us right? I felt like I was pretty social media savvy, but Brunson has shown me how important it is that I go and find my customer where they are.
Brunson gives practical advice on where to start looking for your Dream 100 Customers. I love how easy and the step-by-step approach. He breaks your niche into one of three Core Markets and then submarkets within those core markets. Your niche should be contained within that submarket. The submarket helps you find your Dream 100.
Figuring out who my Dream 100 Customers are was an eye opener for me. I have a lot of different niches within my website, parenting, travel, food, and entertainment. It has been a great exercise for me to focus in on who my customer actually is and where they are “hanging out”. After finding them, the next step is to hook them in! This is where I am currently at in the 30 day challenge that I am participating in. I am figuring and working through my hook.
I love all the actionable steps and great advice so far in Traffic Secrets. This is one of the best resources for building traffic that I have tried thus far. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next couple of weeks.
