The holidays are just around the corner, but I am not quite ready to give up my iced tea! I wanted to make something for the season that incorporated Lipton Tea & Honey Pitcher Packets. These days have been long and tiring. I find myself reaching for a cocktail to unwind at the end of a long stressful day. Lately, I have been looking for substitutes because I am still trying to lose those last few pregnancy pounds so I really don’t need the extra calories. I was challenged to make a “mocktail” using Lipton Tea, and I had a lot of fun coming up with recipes.
One of my favorite cocktails is a White Russian. I wanted to create that same kind of creaminess but with more of a spiced flavor to it. Out of this inspiration came this Spiced Sweet Tea. I used some sweetened condensed milk and spiced it up with some nutmeg and cinnamon. I now have another option to that evening cocktail!
- 1 Lipton Tea & Honey Iced Black Tea Pitcher Packet
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup to taste sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Mix tea and water together stirring well to incorporate.
- Mix remaining ingredients together and serve over ice.
- Enjoy immediately!
Finding Lipton Tea & Honey Pitcher Packets at Walmart was easy. The assortment of teas was almost overwhelming, but right on the top shelf were the instant teas. My Walmart carries all four flavors of the pitcher packets. I have been experimenting with the Blackberry Pomegranate as well. I hope to share a fruity “mocktail” with you soon! You can read all about my shopping experience on my Google album.
