So a few weeks ago I shared My Moms breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwich Recipe and mentioned that I created another, healthier version. Well, here it is! My husband and I actually preferred this over the fried version as we try to stay health conscious. You start out the process the same as you would for the fried version, instead you grill it! It was fantastic.
Grilled Pork Tenderloin Sandwich
Grilled Pork Tenderloin Sandwich
Ingredients
- 1lb Pork Tenderloin
- teriyaki marinade
- seasoning (or just basic salt and pepper)
- 4 Hamburger Buns
- Tomato, Lettuce, and condiments of your choosing
Begin by marinading your tenderloin in the teriyaki marinade for a few hours (or even overnight).
Prepare the tenderloin by cutting it into 4 large slices about 1 1/2 inches – 2 inches wide. Butterfly the pieces of pork and put it between two pieces of Saran Wrap (I also did it inside a large Ziploc bag and it worked great). Using the smooth side of a meat tenderizer mallet, pound the pieces of tenderloin until they are about 1/4 in thick.
Grill the piece of tenderloin until it reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees F. (about 12 minutes). Serve on the hamburger buns with a slice of tomato, lettuce and your favorite condiments. Enjoy!

this looks good. I had a bbq version(bbq joint) the other night and it was bland and dry, overnight marinating is the key to flavor pork.
