I was a huge fan of Sex in the City.  I would love to be cast as one of the actresses just so that I was able to wear the wardrobe showcased in the show. Carrie was so stylish.  She always wore great accessories, shoes, handbags, bracelets, and necklaces. I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, but when I find something I truly love I will wear it all the time. Sonya sent me a Swarovski Pearl Mother’s Bracelet – Single Color in Tahitian.  I absolutely love my bracelet.  I have literally worn it every day since it arrived.  I love the Tahitian pearls (they are a navy blue color- beautiful). I have a great gift idea for our Valentine’s Day Gift Guide kickoff. Give the gal in your life a real meaningful gift this year.  My favorite kinds of gifts are not really expensive ones. I picked out 8 charms that represented things that I value.  I picked out two different hearts with a birthstone in them, one for my husband and one for myself. I picked out a baby shoe with BJ’s birthstone in it and a boy’s profile charm. To represent my dog, Eli, I picked out a dog’s paw print. To represent women whom I know who have fought breast cancer I chose a pink ribbon.  I wanted something to represent my profession so I chose a school bus charm. Finally, I chose a “K” charm to symbolize my name.

I love my bracelet.  The chain of the bracelet is delicate and not bulky (my major complaint with most charm bracelets). When I wore it to school my students noticed it right away.  They were very excited for me to explain why I chose each charm (I was equally excited).  I feel very special when I wear the bracelet.  I am the only one in the world with a bracelet like this one.  What a great gift to give the special woman in your life!

One of those things that I let slide since having a baby is the amount of jewelry I wear.  I haven’t ever been one of those women who accessorize all the time (even though I wish I were). However, since having BJ I don’t think I have put on a single necklace.
