DOVE Ice Cream Miniatures My Mini Moment Contest

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dove Ice Cream. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you tried Dove Ice Cream Miniatures Miniatures yet?  I was at the supermarket the other day and saw these in the freezer case and decided to give them a try. I love the small size (both because I don’t eat a lot of ice cream and because I save on my caloric and fat intake).  At only 70 calories each, DOVE® Ice Cream Miniatures feature full indulgent ice cream wrapped in real Dove chocolate making them the perfect treat. Try the new decadent Café Collection which features Java Chip and Cappuccino Flavors.  I bought the Dark Chocolate Variety pack and they are fantastic (and I have the added benefit of not having to feel guilty about eating them)!

DOVE® Ice Cream Miniatures has launched the “My Mini Moment” contest. Dove Ice Cream is asking women to share their favorite mini moment of escape and one lucky winner could win one of 3 sensational mini-grand prizes: a mini-getaway to Napa Valley, Spa services for a year or a mini-home makeover. Women need to submit a photo and short essay at DoveIceCream.com/myminimoment by June 7, 2010.

“Me-time” is important to the Dove consumers, so DOVE® Ice Cream Miniatures conducted a survey of over 400 mothers and an astonishing 70 percent of these ultimate multi-taskers are taking time for themselves each day. The “My Mini Moment” contest celebrates these cherished moments. I take time for myself by setting aside time while TJ is napping for my hobbies. How do you take time for yourself every day?

Lunchables “Field Trips For All”

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Lunchables. All opinions are 100% mine.

The end of the school year is quickly approaching.  We have been working on our kindergarten memory books.  Of all the wonderful things that we have done this year the events that the kids end up writing about are the field trips that they went on during the year.  Going on a field trip and getting a hands on experience into what were learning about can make a lasting impression on a child. Bringing science to life by visiting a park, or learning about history from a museum provides an engaging experience that many kids wouldn’t have an opportunity to participate in outside of school.  This is why Lunchables Lunch Combinations is providing an opportunity,Field Trips For All, for deserving kids across the country to take and experience an educational field trip with their class.

Field Trips For All” is the first effort from the Lunchables Team’s new initiative called Project Potential. Aimed at empowering kids with opportunities to help them reach their full potential, Project Potential will provide enriching experiences kids might otherwise not have.”

Education spending is being cut across the country and one of the first programs school districts are cutting are field trips.  Lunchables Project Potential wants to ensure that some classrooms still get the chance to experience a hands on trip during the school year. Anyone 6 years of age or older can nominate a deserving classroom by going to  http://www.lunchables.com/potential/ and submitting a nomination. From all nominations received, 50 classrooms will be selected to go on an inspiring, educational experience.

Check out this to see the impact a field trip can have on children:

Lunch, Roar and Score with Jeff Corwin

I was recently given the amazing opportunity to talk with Jeff Corwin about animals, his experiences, and how to foster a love of animals in young children. Jeff Corwin is teaming up with Animal Planet and Lunchables to give 10 lucky kids (and their families) the opportunity to explore the New England Aquarium and Franklin Park Zoo in Boston.  The lucky winners will also get to have dinner with Jeff Corwin.  Through May 2, 2010, kids (between the ages of 6-17) can enter for a chance to win an all expenses paid trip to Boston.  Along with their families, they will spend three days with Jeff Corwin, learning about their favorite animals.  Visit www.lunchables.com and click on the Lunch, Roar and Score logo with Jeff Corwin’s picture on it, or click here

I will post my interview with Jeff Corwin soon, please come back and watch!

Disclosure: I received a DVD collection, hoodies, and a Jeff Corwin children’s book from Animal Planet for participating in the interview.
