Little acts of kindness add up to make a huge difference. This is the sentiment that I have been sharing with my students at school. While they are little, they can still make a huge difference in the world. We have been taking time and noticing the nice little things that we do for each other. Our principal has been reading some of them off everyday at the end of school over the announcements. Yesterday we discussed how making other people happy makes us happy as well.
Again… its the small things.
Inspiring our youth is something I strive to do daily, but a lot of the time the kids end up inspiring me. I have been blessed to have worked with amazing kids and amazing families.
Coca-Cola wants to reward these deserving youth.
Coca-Cola is getting off to a great start in 2013 with its second annual Coca-Cola “Pay It Forward” program through My Coke Rewards. Coca-Cola’s “Pay It Forward” program helps parents, relatives, mentors, friends and the community support aspiring young people achieve their dreams by nominating them for unique and exciting apprenticeship experiences.
Four lucky nominees will be rewarded with the unique and exciting opportunity for an apprenticeship experience with one of the country’s most respected celebrity history makers: business mogul Magic Johnson; chairman and CEO of BET Networks, Debra Lee; or hip hop artist and philanthropist, Common.
Parents, relatives, friends and mentors can nominate aspiring youth between the ages of 16-21, now through March 2nd for a chance to win the apprentice experience. You can nominate up to five young people (the young person can also nominate himself/herself) and be entered for a chance to win a $5,000 sweepstakes with each nomination!
So, how do you and your family “Pay It Forward?”
Coca-Cola wants to inspire A Mom’s Impression readers to think of ways they can perform random acts of kindness by providing one lucky winner with a Coca-Cola Pay It Forward Prize Package. The prize package includes:
- $100 Amex card to help you and your family “Pay It Forward” in the New Year
- Coca-Cola “Pay It Forward” journal
- Coca-Cola “Pay-It-Forward” t-shirt
The prize was provided by The Coca-Cola Company but The Coca-Cola Company is not a sponsor, administrator, or involved in any other way with this giveaway. All opinions expressed in the post are my own and not those of The Coca-Cola Company. I also received a prize package for writing this post.

i would nominate my niece because she could use the encouragement!
I’d nominate my nephew, who after being an avid sports player and becoming injured, has used his pain and struggle to push his journey to become an ortho doc to help young people like himself. He is a very giving young man , Valedictorian of class and great with kids, volunteering, just is a really nice, gracious and GRATEFUL kid all the way around.
I don’t know anyone in that age range but I would have nominated my daughter when she was younger. She is very smart and would have enjoyed this.
