As far as comfort food goes, there is not a whole lot of dishes I would put ahead of Macaroni & Cheese. I remember going to cookouts and having homemade Macaroni & Cheese and just loving it. My niece practically lives on Macaroni & Cheese. So many kids like it that it is a sure winner when it comes to dishes for special events. The only problem that I have had with making it is that I am a very busy mom. I work full time, I write this blog, and I just started Graduate School (I know, I have probably overdone it) I don’t have time to make Macaroni & Cheese from scratch. Well, Kraft just launched it newest product, Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese, that allows me to make Macaroni & Cheese the old school way in a hurry.
We tried the new Creamy Parmesan Alfredo Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese the other night and fell in love with it! It was simple to make and it only took 20 minutes. I ended up finishing it in the oven with a little extra cheese on top (sorry there aren’t pictures of this, my husband took it out of the oven and immediately plated it. He was so excited to try it out)! It was definitely more like the homemade pastas that I remember eating in the past.) Preparing Mac & Cheese this way gives you a lot more free time to play with your kids or enjoy your family.
