Breakfasts in my house usually consist of my husband and I grabbing something on the go while TJ eats a full breakfast at daycare. Its not the best situation, but it is the one of a busy working family. On the weekends we try to make a healthy breakfast for TJ, but often he has other ideas. TJ is a very picky eater and wont eat a lot of foods. I plan on tackling some of these issues this summer when I am home from work and can cook for him myself. In the meantime finding things that he will eat has been a challenge. I recently had the opportunity to try out Eggo’s new FiberPlus Waffles, and TJ loved them (he actually ate 2)!
Kellogg’s new Eggo FiberPlus Waffles are available in Buttermilk and Chocolate chip. TJ thought that the Chocolate chip was a giant cookie (that’s probably why he tried it)! Surprizingly, the chocolate chip variety contains 20 percent of the daily value of the antioidants, Vitamin E and Zinc. The Buttermilk variety conatins 35 percent of your daily value of calcium. Both varieties satisfy 35 percent of the daily recommend value of fiber in every serving. If my son is going to eat waffles, I am glad that there is an option out there with some healthy benefits.
