Earth Swag – Reusable Snack Bags and Sandwich Wraps Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

How did you celebrate Earth Day this year?  I thought that this year in particular many brands are realizing the importance of supplying buyers with Eco-friendly options.  More and more often I am seeing environmentally friendly products available at my local stores and this is a good thing.

I do my best to reduce my carbon footprint on the earth.  There are so many little things that you can do that all add up and can make a huge difference.  Recycling, eliminating the use of pesticides, reusing bags are just a couple of the things that we do.  Did you know that there are also options available where you can reduce or even eliminate the use of plastic sandwich bags that you use in your lunches?

Earth Swag is a company that was created out of a mom’s desire to eliminate chemicals coming into contact with her child’s food.  She needed plastic bags to transport her child’s food, but she hated that they all went into the trash so she created a reusable bag and wrap made of bacteria-inhibiting cotton that is also machine-washable, stain-resistant and printed in one of two great prints.

Reasons to buy and use these bags and wraps:

* staggering numbers of plastic bags being thrown away in lunchrooms every day

* a desire to reduce your carbon footprint and trash production

* you hate the plastic smell that gets on your food from disposable bags

* various chemicals potentially leaching into your food from plastic

* they’re super cool AND bacteria-inhibiting

Our Thoughts

I love these bags!  It feels great to have a bag designed for snacks that I can just throw into the wash and reuse as many times as I want to.  The sandwich wrap is a wonderful idea that I haven’t seen anywhere else.  My co-workers thought it was really a great idea and it saves so many plastic bags that I have less of those to buy saving me money (you all know that I love to save money).  These products make it so easy to eliminate trash created from taking your lunch to school.  I am going to stock up on them for when TJ starts bringing his lunch to school.

I spent the day turning over my compost pile and planting some flowers around my deck. I have my kids using reusable water bottles and I clean up the trash at my local park as my kids play.

  2. Melinda says

I pack my daughter’s lunch everyday with, yes, ziploc bags. This post is a great motivation to try something “greener.” And, if I were to win the set, well, more’s the better! Thanks.

I think it’s a fantastic idea. Sadly, I use a number of plastic baggies, I’d love to see if this is something that could work for my family silenttributary at yahoo dot com

We have no ziploc bags in our house, but don’t have reusable bags yet either. Can really use them! And they would take up less space than the containers we have been using!

  5. Corinne says

I’d like to teach my son to recycle and try not to use plastic whenever he can. This would be a great way to reinforce this when he goes to school in the fall.

  6. Mary Beth Elderton says

I’d love to win, because we are trying as much as possible to go to reusables.

  7. Nicole Vosburgh says

I would love to win because I have heard so many good things about reusable bags and have never tried any of them.

  8. Tammy says

I would love to give Earth Swag a try. It would be nice to eliminate all plastic baggies in the house! Just one more step to a Greener home!

  9. Michelle says

This would be an awesome product to win! I recycle all that I can and am not a fan of using plastic snack bags. Since I can’t always send a reuseable container I tend to just reuse the plastic baggie until it’s no longer useable. This product would be so much better though!

My husband and I are trying to teach our kids the importance of recycling. Each month we take a trip to our local recycling place with a truckload of stuff. It makes us extra money and teaches our kids not to waste and to love our earth. I am always looking for ways to save money and to make less waste and this would add to my collection of reuseables. And they are so cute too, my girls would love taking these on picnics and to school.

I would like to win because Ziploc bags can get very expensive! This is cute for my son and it is also eco-friendly.

These are so cute and Earth friendly! I am a big recycling nut and a green girl. I would love to win these Earth Swag baggies and wraps to continue to show my daughters that it’s cool being green!

  13. Angieb says

I want to win because I want to start setting a better example for my girls when I pack their lunches

  14. Jennifer T. says

I hate throwing away plastic ziptop bags. I think these are a great way to avoid doing that.
