I have a slight obsession with children’s shoes… I am a shoeaholic! There isn’t much more in life that I love than opening up a new pair of shoes for TJ. One of the companies that I have been stalking browsing since before TJ was born is Umi. Umi is a earth friendly company that creates some of the most stylish and durable children’s shoes on the market.

At Umi, caring for little feet also means caring for the earth—which means we set our standards sky-high. Every shoe we make is tested for safety and durability and meets strict guidelines for child-safe materials. We use only non-toxic drum-dyed leathers and other environmentally friendly components. Protected in recycled packaging, Umi’s a brand sure to please parents and Mother Nature alike.

I can’t imagine a more appealing product for me… an environmentally friendly children’s shoe company, I must have died and gone to heaven. I admit when picking out TJ’s new shoes from Umi’s 2010 fall collection, I had a very tough decision to make. I mean look at some of these adorable boys shoes.

Mothers of little boys know how hard it can be to find stylish clothing and shoes for their little men. I admit that some days I dream of having a little girl just so I can dress her up. Umi didn’t forget about the boys. They have plenty of adorable, stylish shoes available for our boys (and of course a ton of cute girls shoes that I might look at if I can convince my husband to go for baby #2). We decided to go with the Borneo- Chocolate shoe.

I love how classic these shoes look (all boy), yet they also have a special something to make them stand out. The black and brown colors are a perfect combination for autumn. I can’t wait for our annual pumpkin patch trip to pick out our family pumpkins. TJ is going to look perfect in his new Umi shoes and a pair of corduroys. I just love fall fashion. The construction of these shoes is unbelievable. The shoes will long outlive TJ’s growing feet and will be able to be handed down to another lucky little boy we know.
