Spiffies ToothWipes Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

It seemed like it took TJ forever to cut his first tooth.  He got his bottom two at about 11 months, the four on top came about a month later all at once.  I was so excited to seem them finally (I must admit I was getting a little worried, first time moms do this a lot).  After the initial excitement I realized I had absolutely no idea how to take care of them.  Do you brush a baby’s teeth?  I wasn’t sure.  About a month ago I was introduced to Spiffies ToothWipes and my worries were over!

Spiffies ToothWipes are natural  wipes that help clean and take care of your infant/toddlers gums and teeth.  The wipes are treated with Xylitol. Xylitol is a natural sweetener that comes from plants and fruits. I know what you are thinking, “How can a sweetener help keep my child’s teeth and gums healthy?”  Well, Xylitol is not just a natural sweetener, it is also has been shown in many clinical studies to prevent cavities and even stops or reverses tooth decay.  Here is a little bit more about how Spiffies ToothWipes work:

How Spiffies fights cavities
Spiffies products are effective because they all contain the natural cavity fighter Xylitol. Certain mouth bacteria (including cavity causing Streptococcus Mutans) grow and then stick to the surface of the teeth forming a biofilm called plaque. When foods containing ordinary sugar or carbohydrates are eaten, the sugar or carbohydrate gives the bacteria energy to multiply and start producing acids. Cavities begin to form as acids start dissolving the calcium and phosphate that form the tooth’s mineralized hard enamel surface. This process, called demineralization, continues for about 30 minutes before the acid is finally neutralized by saliva.

Getting TJ to use the Spiffies the first time was difficult.  I don’t believe it was because of the Spiffies at all, just because he has never had me use a cloth in his mouth before.  As soon as the second attempt, he seems to enjoy it!  He now will open his mouth wide when it is time to clean with his Spiffies!  The ToothWipes come in grape, apple, and mango flavors that TJ loves.  They also make a I Can Brush Solution that toddlers can use with their own toothbrush.  A wonderful way to transition from wipes to a toothbrush.

I want to thank the Spiffies ToothWipes company because they have made it so easy for a paranoid new mom to keep her child’s teeth and gums healthy.  I highly recommend Spiffies ToothWipes for any parent looking for an easy way of cleaning thier child’s teeth and gums.

They have 100 percent natural tooth-brushing liquid for toddlers and school-age children that don’t like to brush. It is rich in xylitol, the strong cavity-fighter. This is intriguing.
