I am so excited to be writing this while staying with family for a wedding. My husband, TJ and I are in northern Indiana to attend the wedding of my husband’s cousin. After weeks of searching I finally found TJ a suit in a 12 month size and I wanted to share a picture with you.
Isn’t he the most handsome little guy? I was a little frustrated trying to find dress clothes for infant/toddler boys. Everywhere you turn are adorable little girl outfits, but the only store I could find a suit for TJ in was Macy’s. I even checked infant/toddler speciality stores. I hope someone out there reads this and realizes that boys need to look special on special occasions too!
Driving up here made me realize that we are leaving on our family vacation in just one week! We are headed to North West Michigan with my husbands family. It is a tradition that steams back several decades in his family. We make the trip every other summer. This will be TJ’s first time. I have had many opportunities to review some items that will be brought with us up to Lake Michigan and I can’t wait to share them all with you. In fact, GM is sending us a 2010 Buick Enclave to use for the trip! I can’t wait to share the experience with all of you!
I am a little nervous about driving over 8 hours with a 15 month old. If anyone out there has some advice for a first time mom and her first time long road trip I would really love to hear it!

The suit you found is very cute, even if it was a struggle to find it!
Hope you have a blast on vacation. Can’t wait to hear more about the Buick!

Aww, I love his little tie peeking out there, so cute! As for that long car ride if you can make a rest stop a few times to burn off excess energy and keep small books and toys for entertainment you should do just fine! I read somewhere (or maybe on tv?) that it’s a great idea to buy a few NEW small toys to dole out during a long trip. It might be worth a try!

Thanks Henrietta! Books are a great idea. He is so into them right now!
Cute suit! I got my son a nice outfit at Macy’s too – after Easter on clearance. It is hard to find cute stuff sometimes.
Have a great time in MI – bring lots of snacks
I love Macy’s when trying to find something adorable for boys. Snacks are a very good idea.
Oh he is so adorable! Love that little outfit he has on! I have no advice for traveling, but maybe make sure there are a lot of snacks on hand! GL and have fun!!!

How adorable is he! The only advice I can give is in car entertainment like a DVD player or something and lots of cheerios and goldfish
DVD play is a wonderful idea. Must look into that!
Adorable suit! I also really like that it is a summer suit…not the typically navy or black that I always see little ones in. As far as traveling with 8 hours with a 15 month old…here is the best advice I can offer you. Drive at night. We drive over 8 hours to Florida every year and have since my daughter was 6 weeks old. Driving at night works out well for us because she sleeps the majority of the trip. My DH and I can also nap 4 hrs each and split up the driving.

Great idea. I wonder if I can talk my husband into doing that? We would get there faster too!
I had the same problem when my son was little. They had tons of dresses for girls, but very little for suits for boys.
Oh that suit is precious! My only advise is plenty of SNACKS!
