When my sister, brother and I were kids we would pretend we were Superheroes. I grew up in the times of Wonder Women and Superman so we had several characters that we liked to emulate. We would take bath towels and tie them around our necks for our capes and then we were off to save the world.
I recently came across a website that creates personalized super hero capes for children, Power Capes. You can choose your colors and emblem and personalize it with your child’s initial. We had the opportunity to design one for TJ and I think it turned out so incredibly cute. We chose a blue cape with a Superman like emblem in red with a green letter J to personalize it just for TJ. I think it turned out super cute!
If we had Power Capes back when I was a kid I probably wouldn’t have taken it off. There are so many possibilities for kids to use their imaginations. If you are throwing a superhero themed birthday party this would be a perfect gift for you little one to wear during the party. Not sure about what you would like your child to dress up for Halloween? How about a personalized superhero outfit, you can be assured that he won’t be dressed up the same as all the neighborhood kids.

I have seen these around and they are adorable. I know that my boys would have a blast pretending to be super heros. This is the first time I have actually stopped to really read about them. Great review!

My girls use their bath towels all the time for superhero caps. “super hero allison to the rescue” is what my 3 year old yells as she runs down the hall. I may have to look into getting them real capes, they’d love them!
