I am in a love affair with Guidecraft (don’t tell my husband). I want to shout from the rooftops how much I love products from Guidecraft. Last month I introduced Guidecraft’s Big Rigs (you can read the review here). This month I am very excited to introduce you to Guidecraft’s high-quality, durable children’s furniture.
I have been fortunate to have experience with Guidecraft before I reviewed their products for A Mom’s Impression. I have a couple of classroom furniture items in my kindergarten classroom from Guidecraft. All of my Guidecraft furniture is well built and made of solid wood. The solid wood makes the furniture heavy and hard to damage which is imperative when working with 5 and 6 year olds. If you ever want to know if a product is durable, send it to my kindergarten class and I can tell you in a matter of minutes. My Guidecraft furniture has lasted for years and is still going strong. Knowing about the high-quality furniture, I was really looking forward to receiving Guidecraft’s Papagayo Table & Chair Set to review.
I picked out the Papagayo Table & Chair Set because of the design not knowing that Guidecraft has teamed up with Lams & Ivy to create a furniture set that coordinates with their Papagayo bedding set. The set is designed with adorable jungle animals in shades of brown and greens. The color palate allows this furniture to coordinate with many nurseries, playrooms or even family rooms (which is where we keep ours).
The table and chairs arrived in two large boxes. There seemed to be a lot of parts, but my husband assured me that it was very simple to put together, he even commented about the high-quality of the furniture. The table and chairs are extremely sturdy and the angled legs helps to ensure that TJ won’t be able to tip the chairs backwards when he is sitting in them. When you see a durable product you can just tell that it will last forever and the Papagayo Table & Chair Set doesn’t disappoint.
Solid wood has its advantages, and one of those advantages is the detail that Guidecraft created with the hand carving elements in the Papagayo Table and Chairs. I am hoping that these photos show how incredible the hand carved details are in the chairs, but trust me when you see it you will be impressed. The set comes with two chairs, one features a monkey and turtle and the other features an alligator and a tropical bird. The tabletop is hand-painted with all of the animals and also an adorable frog. The table legs and chair legs are an espresso brown. The entire set is an attactive table & chairs that will be sure to attract a lot of attention and will last your family a lifetime.
TJ loves sitting in his chairs and pounding on the table top. We had just received this set a couple of days before TJ’s birthday and it was a perfect place for TJ and his cousins to eat their lunch and play at. Everyone at the party commented on how beautiful the set is. I love that this set is very gender neutral and would be a wonderful addition to any little boy or little girls room. I also love that the table and chairs will grow with my child. The decor is perfect for a little one as well as an elementary aged child. I would put this set in my classroom in an instant (maybe I will when TJ is done with it).

I love the Art Table and Chair Set in Pink. I have two granddaughters who love to draw, paint and do arts & crafts from morning till night, and they would love this!
