I am happy to announce that I have been chosen to be a Brand Ambassador for The View (an ABC daytime talk show). What does a Brand Ambassador do? Well, here is a little bit about what I will be a part of over the next few weeks:
- Get the inside scoop on upcoming guests/storylines for The View
- Have the opportunity to provide direct feedback to the ABC Daytime marketing team.
- I will get the chance to inform all of my blog followers about everything concerning The View.
I am very excited for this great opportunity. I have watched The View since the very beginning. I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to watch the program after school started, but I always get caught back up on the DVR and during the summer months. Are you a fan of The View? Here is the weekly guests that will be appearing on the view this week:
- Monday, Feb 22: Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana will be making his first and only television appearance since announcing that he is not running for re-election in 2010.
- Tuesday, Feb 23: The controversial cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore will be joining the Women live on Tuesday. This will be an interesting show to see how the cast and the women interact!
- Wednesday, Feb 24: Nadya Suleman who famously gave birth to octuplets last year will be making her first trip to NYC to chat live with the Women of the View. Author Danielle Steel will also be a guest
- Thursday, Feb 25: A one hour show Themed “trying to have a baby?”Guests include Giuliana And Bill Rancic
- Friday, Feb 26: Regis and Joy Philbin will perform a song from their new CD: Regis & Joy: Just you. Just me.

hahaa….seriously, guys. Come up with something better than these bunch of douche bags. We shouldn’t be giving 90% of the people who are on reality TV a moment of air time. They don’t deserve it. Want reality?? Follow someone like me who is a cloth diapering, baby wearing mother of three (13, 8 and 5 months old) who works part time, blogs, owns her own business as a jewelry maker/doula and is also an anit-war / marijuana decriminalization activist. THAT would make good TV. The others need to start finding a better contribution to society.
To be honest, I don’t know much about Jersey Shore. I myself am tired of reality stars. I will mention that to the ABC exec. if I get the chance!

You know, I think that it’s true with every generation where we find ourselves looking at the “new youth” and shaking our heads out of disbelief and disappointment – I’m only 29 and I’m definitely starting to do this. It makes me question myself, but only for a moment. I think the quality we GIVE our kids is reflected in how they act – and it isn’t great. But, we distract them with TV and games and whatever other electronic device we can and then expect them to figure out life on their own essentially. We need to take the time to invest more knowledge into our kids.
