It took months and months of searching to find the perfect take home from the hospital outfit for BJ (if you think I am exaggerating ask my husband). I am a little obsessive (if you couldn’t tell) about some things and the take home outfit was one of those things. I wanted the outfit to be cute, elegant, and classic all the same time. I ended up finding what I thought was the perfect outfit to bring him home in. At the hospital we were getting ready to be discharged and we put the outfit on BJ. In spite of the “newborn” tag, BJ’s outfit was entirely too large. He looked so funny swimming around in this outfit. I was crushed. I wanted this moment to be perfect. I had this moment pictured in my perfectionist head of mine since found out I was pregnant and it was all wrong due to a very large shirt and pair of pants. Being that I “just knew” this moment was going to be perfect, I failed to bring a secondary outfit for BJ so he wore his outfit home anyway (3 months later he fit perfectly into it). We received a long-sleeved shirt and pants from Zutano in the “Mr. Grizz” print for BJ to review. (This print is a part of Zutano’s Baby Collection). We love the “Mr. Grizz” print with little bears all over it. The pants are a tan fleece material that is very warm and perfect for this time of year. Zutano’s clothes are well made and can withstand repeated washes (necessary for a drooling baby). I love how BJ looks when he wears his Zutano clothes.

We didn’t know the gender of our little girl so I just packed a newborn size white outfit (onesie) and it fit perfectly, thank goodness.

Yes I remember picking out my daugther’s coming home outfit. It was actually from Amy Coe’s Target line. A white with pink print sleeper that was absolutely adorable with a matching white knit flapper style beanie cap. I am saving it b/c I had so many compliments on it.

Of course I remember! We used a t-shirt with ladybugs on it (i collect them) that was a gift from a friend. We then just matched pants/socks/hat with it.
