Congrats! I agree with what Katie shared. I would also like to add, contact your local pediatric dentist and pick their brain. I love mine, because they encouraged us to come in for visits, just for my son to get used to someone else tinkering with his mouth/teeth. Bonus, his dentist visits were all free while he was under 2. Now when we go, he is 3, he knows what to expect when we see his dentist.

Oh, one more thing.....love the Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets http://www.hylands.com/products/teething.php. They were a life saver for me to give to him before nap time or at night. For us 1 did the trick, but when he was teething and uncomfortable we gave him 2. But, as always every kid is different. I had friends that their kids needed Tylenol or Motrin and some never gave their kids anything.

Take care and enjoy!

Just wipe his tooth and gums down with a wet washcloth. That is good enough for now. Dentist visit by age 3. Bottles before bed are fine until 12 months. Just don't let him have it in bed. (the sugar from the milk sits on their teeth, but it is fine to give him a bottle and then put him down)
