I am becoming an expert on umbrellas. I think it is because I have ruined a couple of them in my lifetime, or it is from living in the Midwest, I am not sure. For instance, last year when taking my kids out to the bus after school the heavens opened and the winds blew and let loose. When I say that it rained it is an understatement, it poured. All of my kiddos and myself where drenched in rain, and everyone (except me because I have to set a good example) was crying. I had brought my umbrella that I had gotten in Paris with my sister (my one overseas trip) and it was completely destroyed. I was crushed. Vat19 sent me the Edgar Degas Auto-Open Auto-Closed Folding Umbrella for review. I love this umbrella. The automatic open and close feature is a wonderful addition to any umbrella. I don’t know about you but I have always been a little skittish of closing an umbrella. I think it comes from pinching my fingers on them when I was a kid (okay, and an adult). On my Degas umbrella all I have to do is push the button and it closes for me. My favorite characteristic about the umbrella is its durability. This is a solid umbrella that can really take a beating. I am sure that it will hold up even in the worst storms the Midwest can throw at me. The Degas umbrella doesn’t have the same sentiment as the umbrella I got in Paris, but I love the print and it reminds me of my trip to the Louvre and that is almost as good!
