We are music snobs! Finding lullaby music for our son has been frustrating. Most of the music currently on the market frankly drives me nuts. I am sure my son doesn’t relate to Beethoven or Mozart, but I have played him this classical music because it does seem to soothe him when he is upset. I am tired of listening to it! When we received a copy of Rockabye Baby’s CD Lullaby Renditions of Guns N Roses I was very excited to hear the music. I wasn’t disappointed. I grew up in Guns N Roses’ prime, and I remember listening to them on the radio constantly (before the days of I-Pods). The music on this CD brought me back to my Junior High days and soothed my son to sleep at the same time. I can probably guess what you are thinking about, “How is Guns N Roses supposed to help my child relax?” Well here is the genius of Rockabye Baby renditions; They take popular artists and recreate their songs in lullaby form. At first listen, if I didn’t know that I had the Guns N Roses album I might not have recognized the music.
Rockabye Baby’s website plays little snippets of songs from their 30 (and growing) CD collections. They have renditions of the Beatles, AC/DC, Bob Marley,Coldplay, Greenday, Metallica, Radiohead and much, much more. In addition to music, Rockabye Baby offers adorable onesies in both short and long sleeves. I know many little rockers out there who would look fantastic in them.
