Lovely Baby Music, Baby Christmas 2 CD Review and Giveaway (2 Winners) (Closed)

Music is very important in our family.  My husband is a musician, my brother is a musician, my husband’s brother is a musician, and I have been known to sing a song or two (mainly in the shower or late at night in the nursery). On both sides of our family music has an important role in our daily lives.  Naturally we want BJ to love music as much as we do (Frankly, I think he will break his father’s heart if he doesn’t learn to play an instrument). Enter Lovely Baby Music.

Lovely Baby Music is the brainchild of Dutch composer Raimond Lap. Knowing that music could provide a beneficial learning experience, Raimond sought to find high quality music for his first-born child.  He was unable to find music that lived up to his standards, so he created his own. According to Lovely Baby Music’s website,

All four of his children have had amazing results in school, showing great creativity and special musical interests and talents. He is convinced that apart from inherited genes, the intellectual level was reached simply by confronting his children with his specially created music.”

Gary, from Lovely Baby Music, sent BJ 2 Christmas CDs to listen too.  As soon as I popped it into the CD player I knew I had a winner.  The Christmas songs were so calming.  I could tell that babies would love to listen to this music.  There were numerous baby sounds inserted into the music to keep BJ’s attention. I was very appreciative that this music didn’t over stimulate my child.  I found that this music would be perfect for naptime, or for white noise for those kids who need it during bedtime.  I actually plan on giving the second CD to BJ’s daycare to play during music time. You can listen to a couple of  Christmas songs here and here.

While it is too soon to tell what kind of affect playing CDs will have on BJ, Lovely Baby Music has received a lot of feedback about how their CDs have influenced the lives of children.  You can read about Eddie’s story here.

i learned Contrary to what most people believe, you should not play classical music for babies, as it was originally intended for grownups
